Welcome to Taulabe! Its bigger than it looks. There are over 9,000 people in the casco urbano (downtown) but over 20,000 in the entire municipality.
.
A small neighborhood on the outskirts of town.
.
A shot of the central park in town.

.
My new house (which I am loving btw).
.
The street in front of my house
.
Bernice has already set to work eating every living thing in the backyard.
.
The Red Cross Taulabe headquarters. I havent been in there yet but I plan to soon.
.
The health center where I work in Jardines (which means gardens in English). Its a small rural aldea about 10 miles from where I live.
.
The Centro serves about 312 families in Jardines and then about 500 more from the surrounding aldeas. This is the front of the building, perched on the side of a mountain and the waiting room usually spills over into the driveway.
.
My office in the health center. Well actually it belongs to the 3 promoters that work in the area but from 8:30 to 10:00 its all mine!

I have already identified a long-term project for the health center. After a little investigation and some words with the head doctor, I have decided I will try to turn all of this…
I flipped on the computer the other day and much to my surprise, it is fully functioning with Windows XP and Microsoft. And for some reason it hasnt been touched in a long time. So now I am desperately seeking some simple open-source EMR filing software that is both 1) free and 2) in Spanish. I have found a few options online but nothing that I can use overseas. If ANYONE is good at techie/software stuff and wants to help me out, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I am searching for something like this only in Spanish. Id like to offer someone a reward for helping me out, but my resources are limited. …Perhaps Ill get creative.
In the meantime, Paz y amor
