Presenting my new baby bunny, Bernice! I had been wanting a little pet for a long time and Brent and I finally found the perfect one!
I don’t know exactly how old she is, and I’m not totally sure that she is, a she. Nor have I figured out what I will do with her when I am out of town… yet. But I do know that Bernice is adorable and settling in to her new home quite comfortably.
.
Next time we get paid, I plan to buy a real cage for her to chill in while I am out of the house. But for now the cardboard box seems sufficient.
I spent all afternoon yesterday watching her sniff things and hop around the kitchen and I thought it was the cutest thing I have ever personally witnessed. That is, until I saw her hop at high speed and try and stop suddenly but just skid across the tile floor.
.
Hopefully she’ll still be this cute when she’s the size of a football and making golf ball-sized poops.

Seeing as this is my first rabbit, if anyone out there has any advice for new owners, please let me know. Especially any advice that might pertain to having rabbits in very hot climates – without air conditioning. Looks like the two of us are going to sweat it out together this summer.

“peace out ya’ll, I’m outta here”

Oh my gosh, Sarah, Bernice is too cute! Enjoy her while she is still little.
