Some shots from a wonderful weekend with friends in Nicci´s site, El Corpus Choluteca. I had an amazing time and it felt so good to catch up with the friends that are literally on the opposite sides of the country.
(Southwest, South, East, North Coast, West)
Nicci´s house, perched on the edge of a cliff. Don´t worry, Juan Carlos approved.

Watching the local futbol team

Before we left on our hike to the rio. The “after” pictures weren´t so flattering.
.
After our hike, we stopped at a family´s house to get some refreshment. They had a 34-year-old parrot that could sing the Honduran National Anthem. Or at least the first few lines.
The bird conveniently stopped cooperating once I took my camera out, but if you listen closely you can hear the beginnings of “Tu bandera, tu bandeeeeeeraa….”
.
Instead of giving Nicci´s keys back the old-fashioned way (hiding them under a rock), Celis decided to make a nifty little treasure hunt for our amusement.
Kyla finally found the keys… inside of an artfully carved cantaloupe.

Thanks for the great weekend ladies!!
